In 2011 small Dunedin law firm Van Aart Sycamore Lawyers won the Fujitsu Infinitylaw Corporate and Commercial Law Award, fending off competition from much larger law firms specialising in commercial law. The awards were made based on over 2,000 clients nominating and voting on their lawyers' service. The emphasis on client service was a bit different for a field of law that often rates success on the size or notoriety of cases handled.
