Relationships: Barry and Jean

From 1962 Crump lived with Jean Watson as they travelled in Australia, hunting crocodiles and sailing off North Queensland. Jean later achieved recognition as a writer, and her novel Stand in the rain (1965) drew on her relationship with Crump. They had two sons.
