Governor-general's flag

Governor-general's flag

In 2008 a new vice-regal (governor-general's) flag was unveiled. It is New Zealand's third vice-regal flag. Here, Governor-General Anand Satyanand (right) and New Zealand Herald of Arms Phillip O'Shea display the new flag in front of Government House in Wellington in 2008. The flag contains the New Zealand coat of arms surmounted by a royal crown.
