Receiving the CBE

In 1966 Brian Barratt-Boyes was awarded a CBE for his service to cardiac surgery. He is pictured with his family after receiving the honour at Government House in Auckland. Standing beside him are his mother, Edna (centre), and his wife, Norma. In front are three of his sons (from left), David, Mark and John.
