Tutor Roger Midwinter shows (from left) Him Mara, Mouw Young Yourng, Neal Neary and Tan Seng how to use equipment in the language laboratory of Wellington Polytechnic. The four were part of a contingent of eight Cambodian science students studying in New Zealand under the Colombo Plan. Colombo Plan scholarships were a substantial component of New Zealand's aid from the 1950s.
