Targeted health subsidies

Targeted health subsidies

Increased subsidies for children's visits to doctors were announced in the 1990 Budget. Mothers Adelaide Best (left) and Lovey Kingi are pictured with their children at the Waitangirua Health Centre the same day. The women expressed relief about the higher subsidies – both had taken their children to the doctor numerous times over winter.
