Ngā manu kōrero

Students of Te Kura Māori o Ngā Tapuwae College in South Auckland perform a vigorous haka in support of their fellow student Thomas Mason. Thomas was the school’s representative at the Ngā Manu Kōrero speech competition held at Hoani Waititi Marae, west Auckland, in 2007. The annual nationwide Ngā Manu Kōrero competition promotes the learning and use of Māori language among school children.
