Ministers in Joseph Ward's government, 1908

In 1908 cabinet minister William Hall-Jones (third from right) returned to New Zealand from leave in England following a severe heart attack; later the same year he departed again for London as high commissioner. He is seen on board ship with his ministerial colleagues (from left) John Andrew Millar, Robert McNab, James McGowan, John George Findlay and George Fowlds.
