Launch of Whānau Ora

Minister of Māori Affairs Pita Sharples (left), Deputy Prime Minister Bill English (centre) and Māori Party co-leader Tariana Turia are shown at the launch of the Whānau Ora initiative at Te Puni Kōkiri in Wellington in April 2010. Whānau Ora was an initiative aimed at assisting whānau and families to raise healthy and well-adjusted children.
