Story: Disability and disability organisations

In 2013 the most common disability in New Zealand was mobility disability – difficulty walking 350 metres. Not surprisingly, the rate of this disability increases with age. Mobility scooters can partially overcome this problem. They allow people to visit local shops and friends and maintain a greater sense of independence than would have otherwise been possible.
