Volunteer corner

A garden on the corner of Dixon and Victoria streets in Wellington was planted as a tribute during the International Year of Volunteers, 2001. Although many voluntary organisations now employ paid staff, volunteers are still a critical part of the workforce, especially in social service organisations.
