Fellow unionists

Fellow unionists

Surrounded by male unionists, Sonja Davies listens to speakers at the 1978 Federation of Labour (FoL) conference. That year Davies was elected to the FoL executive, but she found it difficult to be the ‘token woman’ on this and other committees. Male dominance of meetings was an issue for her in peace movements as well as political organisations.
