Sexuality education at intermediate school

Tahuna Normal Intermediate teacher Yvonne Toa discusses the Sexuality Road progamme with her Dunedin students in June 2009. The programme was developed by Family Planning and included activities and resources for pupils in years 5 to 8 (aged around 9–12). Research has shown that comprehensive sex education delays rather than promotes early engagement in sex.
