Story: Pregnancy, birth and baby care

Ultrasound image, 2007 (2nd of 2)

Ultrasound image, 2007

This ultrasound image shows a foetus at 20 weeks. All pregnant women are entitled to a scan at this stage. Scans reduce the mystery of childbearing. Not only can parents see their baby at an early stage, they can also find out its sex if they want to know this. Digital copies of the scan can be taken home (and emailed) as first photos.
