Boy racers

Since the 1980s cheaper vehicle and fuel prices have enabled more young people to own cars. One outcome has been the rise of the ‘boy racer’ problem. In some places youths with powerful cars use city streets as a racecourse, creating noise and safety concerns. These boy racers are gathering in central Dunedin in March 2009 before being moved on by police.
