Concrete block plant

A worker operates machinery at Winstone’s concrete block-making plant at Three Kings quarry, Auckland, around 1955. These standard concrete blocks were also referred to as Vibrapac or concrete masonry. The plant used the quarried scoria to make relatively lightweight blocks.
