Finance company failures

Finance company failures

Many finance companies failed between 2006 and 2008, and in many instances investors recovered only part or none of their money. Retired meat inspector Bruce Bartle and his wife Judy Bartle had invested with failed finance company Blue Chip, which went into liquidation in 2008. In 2009 the couple went to court seeking to be released from mortgages they took out to raise the funds for the Blue Chip investment.
