Vehicle emissions

Vehicle emissions

In Auckland in 2003, scientists monitored pollutants from the exhaust of passing vehicles. Emissions were rated as good, fair or poor, and the ratings were displayed on a sign for drivers to see. A small proportion of cars were responsible for most of the pollution. Cars are a major source of urban air pollution.
