Ēria Tūtara-Kauika Raukura

Ēria Tūtara-Kauika Raukura, leading tohunga of the Ringatū Church, was photographed by James Ingram McDonald in 1913 reading the Bible and preaching, his right hand raised in instruction. He wears vestments of his own design, with cuffs and collar edged with gold braid and bearing the words 'Holy Church' in English and Māori.
