Kapowairua (Spirits Bay)

Kapowairua (Spirits Bay)

Tōhē lived here at Kapowairua – so named because when Tōhē was about to set off to visit his daughter, he told his people that in the event of his death they should grasp (kapo) his spirit (wairua).
