Orsini's restaurant, Wellington, 1988

New Zealanders began to eat at high-class restaurants, assisted by the progressive relaxation of the liquor laws which allowed wines to be served at meals. Here the proprietor of Orsini’s, one of the first restaurants to receive a liquor licence, offers wine to a young couple.
