Eating out

The first McDonald’s in New Zealand opened at Porirua in 1976. Ten years later the same restaurant was the site of a fundraising effort for New Zealand’s Commonwealth Games team: the Consumer Affairs Minister, Margaret Shields, helps out behind the counter.
