Telecom redundancies

A picket of Telecom workers gathers outside Telecom’s offices in Tory St, Wellington, part of a nationwide strike in April 1994. Once privatised, Telecom staff numbers were considerably reduced in a series of redundancies that took place in the late 1980s and 1990s.
