Miss Laking wears an elaborate costume to advertise Auckland real estate company Thomas Hanna & Co., in 1911. Hand-painted panels on her dress depict houses and farms, her hat is a model of a villa with a ‘for sale’ sign, and she holds an open fan with the firm’s name on it.
