Graduation parade (3rd of 3)

Graduation parade

Capping parades declined in the 1960s as student interest in horseplay faded – and bills for damage by drunken students mounted. They were replaced by formal parades of graduands. This is the University of Otago parade along Dunedin’s George Street in 2008.
