An InterCity coach pauses in Wellington’s Civic Square. In the 1990s and 2000s InterCity was New Zealand’s biggest coach company by far. It was formed by a group of private coach companies, which bought the long-distance services of New Zealand Railways Road Services when it was privatised in 1991.
