Pet rats (2nd of 2)

Pet rats

Pet rats Wendy and Lisa are owned by Wellington actor Jean Sergent-Shadbolt, who often goes for walks with them perched on her shoulders. They are known as fancy rats: Wendy is champagne-coloured, while Lisa is dark with white markings, and each is about two years old. Friendly and curious, they enjoy eating fruit, vegetables, oats, cat biscuits and un-hulled sunflower seeds, and gnawing on wood and other hard materials.
