Photographed in 2003, Father Ilyan Eades (right) is an archpriest in the Antiochian Orthodox Church. He has served in Dunedin’s parish of St Michael’s, New Zealand’s oldest Orthodox church, since 1992. St Michael’s was originally established by Lebanese migrants, but later served a much wider community.
