Hsin-Yi Cohen is shown ‘doggie dancing’ with her Great Dane, Honey. In this sport, known officially as ‘canine freestyle/heelwork to music’, dogs are taught a series of tricks and moves that can be put in time to music, allowing them to ‘dance’ with their owners. Giant breeds such as Great Danes have to compete with smaller, more agile dogs such as border collies, so it was a great achievement when Honey won the Shayiska Trophy for best routine at the National Dog Training Assembly in 2007.
