Lionel Terry

Before his confinement in mental hospitals for the racial killing of an elderly Chinese man in 1905, Lionel Terry was a marathon walker; people who met him invariably commented on his magnificent physique. This photo of Terry was published in his book of verse The shadow in 1904.
