Biography: Rout, Ettie Annie

In 1915 during the Gallipoli campaign, Ettie Annie Rout (centre, hatless) established the Volunteer Sisterhood to provide catering and hospital services for New Zealand soldiers stationed in Egypt; Eileen Savell (front row, right) was one of those who answered the call.
