Header delivering grain to bulk trucks

Header delivering grain to bulk trucks

Headers, or combine harvesters, have a hopper to hold the grain that has been separated from the straw. Here the header is transferring the grain into bulk bins on trucks using an auger. In this case the heading operation has stopped while the transfer takes place, but sometimes the grain is augered into the bins while the header continues to harvest the crop.
