Story: Duck shooting

Game-bird hunters, 1920s

Game-bird hunters, 1920s

A group poses with their shotguns and haul of ducks and black swans, possibly in the 1920s. Their guns are double-barrelled, with the barrels side-by-side. This type of gun was dominant until the 1960s. Then guns with one barrel on top of the other became more popular. Today many hunters use single-barrelled auto-loading shotguns.
