Story: Agricultural education

Napier Agricultural and Pastoral Show

Napier Agricultural and Pastoral Show

Farm machinery and implements are on display at the Napier A & P Show in the late 1800s. International manufacturers, such as McCormick and Deering, exhibited their latest designs alongside New Zealand manufacturers like Reid and Gray. While these shows had an obvious commercial focus, they also gave farmers the opportunity to see the most up-to-date technology. The show also featured livestock and produce competitions and displays.
