Romneys on coastal hill country

Romneys on coastal hill country

The Romney remains the most popular sheep breed in New Zealand, and is found from low-lying land to hill country. This group is typical – they are medium to large, heavy-bodied sheep, with good wool cover all over their bodies and heads. Romneys are dual-purpose sheep, bred for both wool and meat.
