Story: Goats and goat farming

Boer goats

Boer goats

Boer goats originate in South Africa, where they developed from a mix of indigenous, European, Indian and angora breeds. They typically have a brown head and neck with a white body – an attractive combination. The word Boer comes from the Dutch word for farmer.
