Clover root weevil (2nd of 3)

Clover root weevil

The adult clover root weevil is 4–6 millimetres long and is found in the base of infected clover plants. The larvae (1–6 millimetres) are creamy-white grubs found among the roots. Although also present in Europe and North America, they have few natural enemies in New Zealand and infestations are about 10 times greater, with up to 1,500 larvae per square metre.
