Story: Water quality

Canadian pondweed (3rd of 3)

Canadian pondweed

Elodea canadensis, or Canadian pondweed, is familiar to many people as an aquarium plant. It is one of a range of aquarium and pond plants that are now prohibited for sale because it can spread rapidly in natural waterways. It is widespread in New Zealand and has been here for more than 100 years.
