Clarence Edward Beeby and his wife Beatrice

This 1959 photograph of Clarence Edward Beeby and his wife Beatrice was taken soon after he accepted the position of New Zealand's ambassador to France. The appointment recognised his international contribution to educational development, in particular through UNESCO.
