Fungus associate of mānuka

Fungus associate of mānuka

This fungus lives in a beneficial association with mānuka and kānuka. Like many other species of beneficial fungi, known as ectomycorrhizal fungi, it supplies nutrients to the shrubs and helps protect them from soil-borne diseases.
