Story: National parks

Arthur’s Pass visitor centre

Arthur’s Pass visitor centre

The visitor centre in Arthur’s Pass National Park is occasionally cut off by snow. All national parks have Department of Conservation visitor centres, which provide maps, and information and advice on tracks, huts and other facilities. They often have exhibits on the parks’ human and natural history.
