Underside of heketara leaves

Heketara (Olearia rani) grows in lowland forest and regenerating scrub throughout the North Island and the northern half of the South Island. Its leaves are light green on the upper surface and whitish below. As this photo shows, the veins on the leaves are prominent. In spring it produces bunches of sweet-smelling flowers.
