Story: Peripatus

Habitat

Habitat

Peripatus (bottom) are primitive creatures that cannot control the loss of water from their bodies. This makes them susceptible to drying out. To avoid this, the worms are nocturnal and make their homes in cool, dark, humid habitats such as forest leaf litter and rotting logs (top).
