The Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga

The Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga

For over 150 years the Christian Church has been central to Tongan identity, and this has continued in New Zealand. One of the largest churches built by the Tongan community is the Free Wesleyan Church in Māngere, Auckland. Its shape reflects that of the traditional Tongan house or fale.
