Mavis Davidson and Rod Hewitt

Mavis Davidson was one of a number of significant women climbers in the 1950s. She is standing below Ball Hut with Rod Hewitt. The pair climbed extensively in the Southern Alps to gain material for a guidebook to the Aoraki/Mt Cook alpine region and a general book on New Zealand mountains.
