Monk Suthep Surapong

Senior monk venerable Suthep Surapong stands with members of Wellington’s Cambodian community at the site of their proposed meeting hall. By 1990, 500 Cambodian families were living in Wellington and in the early 1990s the community rallied to build the hall in Island Bay. The building is known as the Wat Chethpon Mohaneath.
