Story: Freshwater fish

Upland bully (3rd of 3)

Upland bully

The upland bully (Gobiomorphus breviceps) occurs in mainland New Zealand, but not in the Chatham Islands. It is probably very common, but like many native fish is rarely seen. The fish are solitary and territorial, living beneath rocks on the stream bed.
