Stephens Island wrens

These Stephens Island wrens (Traversia lyalli) were killed by cats on Stephens Island, off the Nelson coast, in 1894. One of the cats belonged to the island’s lighthouse keeper, Mr Lyall, who is commemorated in the scientific name.
