Story: Recording companies and studios

Propeller Records (2nd of 3)

Propeller Records

Simon Grigg founded Propeller Records in 1980 with a $400 loan from his flatmate. Its first two singles, by the Suburban Reptiles and Spelling Mistakes, were both instant hits and were followed by a string of other chart-toppers such as 'See me go' by the Screaming Meemees. This is the company's logo as it appeared on the labels of their early singles.
