After New Zealand Post lost the exclusive right to deliver mail in New Zealand, a number of private firms set up in competition. One of these, Pete’s Post, now issues stamps and delivers mail nationwide. Wind turbines featured on their 1999 first day cover (an envelope carrying a stamp postmarked with the date that stamp was first issued).
